Terra Vita Vinum (3 stars)
"Luc Briand from Saint-Lambert du Lattay and his wife, a former wine merchant, are now the majority shareholders of the former Richou estate, now Terra Vita Vinum. They have conducted the entire 2019 harvest where the first parcel vintages now in bottle open new horizons for this estate located in Mozé-sur-Louet at the confluence of three rivers: the Louet, Aubance and Loire. Facing Savennières, on a strip of sandstone schist that pierces the river from one side to the other; this 32-hectare vineyard, converted to organic in the 2013 vintage, is in the midst of a transformation; we will follow its evolution with attention."
Cuvée Grand Vau, Anjou 2019 - Score 92
"This old vine from the Grand Vau parcel benefits from a unique terroir due to its geological mix, between sandstone schist at the top of the parcel and volcanic rhyolite at the bottom. Ripe and energetic wine, generous. Tracing finish of the best effect."
Cuvée Pavillon, Anjou 2019 - Score 93
"Luc Briand inaugurates the takeover of the Richou estate and its parcel-based cuvées. On this sandstone schist terroir, he signs a full-bodied, broad-shouldered dry white on the attack, intense and energetic in the mouth. A perfect match for a lobster ".
